In Home Newborn Photography | Berkshire’s
In home newborn photography is the ideal set-up. You’re in your own space, on your own time, and baby is none the wiser that a new human is staring and cooing over them. Not to mention, seeing new friends lives transform in the matter of a few weeks is nothing short of amazing.
I was lucky enough to photograph Veronica and Adam’s maternity session earlier in the winter. Getting to meet their daughter was a treat! Little Ada was cozy and sleepy when I arrived, basking in the afternoon sun in her parents arms. Veronica’s mom traveled from Colombia for several weeks to help out during the transition, so I got to snap a few photos of her helping as well!

My favorite thing about in-home sessions is how we can take our time. If baby needs to feed or be changed, we can take the time for that. Ada was wearing the most perfect knit leggings and jean jumper dress, that matched perfectly with her parents!
After a few shots with both mom and dad, we headed to Ada’s nursery. The light in their home is dreamy, with white walls that bounce the light perfectly and teal accents. It was an absolute must to get photos from above of Ada in her crib, as her small size is striking from that view. Those tiny days that go so quickly, it’s important to remember all the details.

I feel lucky to have grown up with so many photo albums. My dad and my uncle were constantly taking pictures, as were our contributing family members. My brothers and I were the youngest of all the cousins, so we each got a full album dedicated to our own timeline. As the first child, I certainly got more photos. They drop off a bit in the years where my brothers and I were walking and getting into everything, but the ones we have are priceless.
