Sunsets are a perk of living this life. Whatever a day may bring, staying for that sunset makes it worth it. Since becoming a photographer, I’ve become keenly aware of weather patterns and how different sunsets fill the sky. It’s made me stop and give gratitude more often. What a wonderful side effect of noticing your surroundings!

When scheduling sessions, you’re always wishing for that bright orange sunset. The most beautiful light is the the kind that scatters light evenly in a glow across the land. We were gifted just that on this day for Michele and Adam’s engagement session! A stunning sky awaited us at the Middletown Overlook in Frederick, so we embraced it with open arms!

Michele and I have known one another for years, and getting to document a little of their love story was such a joy. Michele and Adam have a beautiful daughter, and I am over the moon excited to capture photos of all of them next fall at their wedding!

The Session

We met a mystical dude who left us little notes on our car, which was just an added bonus to the grand evening. When we got there he was feeding ants juice, so we knew it was a good sign for the evening! 😂

We started wondering in what looked a lot like Ireland, and made it to the overlook just in time for sunset. Michele and Adam ended the evening in true celebratory style, popping champagne, heyyyyyy 🙂
