Howard County Courthouse Wedding
On a warm overcast day, a slight breeze hit just right as I walked up to this sweet couple’s Howard County Courthouse Wedding. The towering glass windows of the building offer a backdrop more appealing (in my opinion), than the surrounding county’s courthouse buildings. There’s just something wide open space that really draws a person in visually to a building.

My brother is an architect, so I think I’ve now been trained to see the open space around objects. We were a SIMS family, competing for time at the computer as youths. Hours spent building imaginary homes has (hilariously enough) inspired moments in our careers!
On this day at the Howard County Courthouse in Ellicott City, I searched for the open space. We took our time out front as family gathered, slowly moseying inside. You can’t take photos in the initial waiting area for courthouse weddings, so we chatted and talked about local joints we all like to frequent.

Howard County Courthouse Ellicott City
The courthouse in Howard City boasts windows for that sweet, natural light, and greenery nearby! These two opted to head back to their favorite park so that the furry member of their family could join the fun! Maryland court weddings need not be boring, stifled or confined to the walls of the legal system. We spent 30 minutes walking around the lake, stopping for photos and chatting, picking up a lil dog poo, too! When working with me, you’ll always get the picturesque alongside the true and real-time…I believe these are the moments we’ll enjoy looking back on most!

With the changing nature of the times in this country, courthouse weddings are more and more appealing! With this change, I want to assure you that beautiful photos are still in reach, even in limited spaces and time. Looking for more courthouse weddings?
