Courthouse Wedding in Maryland
Maryland Elopement Photographer
Mirtha and Faruk called me up and asked about availability for their courthouse wedding in Maryland. They had moved so many times in the last few years, with family and friends spread out amongst places they’ve traversed. It would be two friends, the officiant, and me (and my cameras, they kinda count).
It was a glorious sunny day at the Circuit Court of Howard County. With sweeping light across the entrance of this new building, love was in the air. Too cheesy? I don’t care, it was 🙂
Weddings in the time of a pandemic bring a whole new meaning to what Zoom and the internet can do. Their day was no exception! With iPad set up, and friends and family virtually gathered, they were married this sunny afternoon in a short and sweet ceremony. One friend on either side, we took group photos, exchanged well wishes and headed out into the green of the nearby woods.
Side note–I love finding gifts of nature amongst concrete jungles. It’s fun having that flexibility to get multiple backdrops and looks for your memory preservation.
Courthouse Wedding in Maryland
I think the first notion of a courthouse wedding can be stifled or informal, with it being in a business building. On the contrary, it feels like it wholly belongs to the couple. You have nothing more than the details they bring to it! Not to mention you get to celebrating faster!
But I digress-their Maryland elopement was quiet, intimate, and full of meaning. It is very clear that these two are truly made for one another. The love is palpable, and I felt such a kind energy from the moment I met Mirtha and Faruk. I’m so delighted to have gotten a chance to document their beautiful day, and I hope you enjoy their photos below! For a courthouse wedding in Maryland, this one knocked it out of the park with joy!
