Georgetown Engagement Photos
As a DC engagement photographer, I’ll admit that getting in front of a camera isn’t the most natural thing. You can become hyper aware of yourself at times, usually just at the beginning, and there’s an element of “what should I be doing?” that can cause nerves. I know this because I’ve been in front of the camera before, along with hundreds of people staring from an audience. I totally know the feeling of hyper-awareness. And I’ve got a way to alleviate these fears and calm the mind. It’s all about being yourself, which sounds super generic, but hear me out…
DC Engagement Photographer
If you can get a photographer who allows you to feel like yourself, instead of needing to “put something on”, then you’re in good hands. A lifestyle photoshoot that shows who you are is all about allowing you to BE YOU. If you feel out of body, then the photos won’t look like you. So, my main concern is making everyone feel comfortable so that they can have fun 🙂
Rolonda and Alfredo made the trek from Baltimore to venture this sunset evening in Georgetown on the C&O Canal. We started by the waterfront, catching rays, and then we caught sight of a beautiful mural. Turns out, it’s the Berliner restaurant, and the side wall is DIVINE. From there, we hit the C&O canal walking path and ended in a pool of light given off by a nearby building. (My other favorite thing is when couples let me get weird and experimental in the moment). Fun story, the final photo’s golden light was brought to you by her engagement ring!

If you’re looking for an area with ample backdrops, that’s generally just a fun place to explore, Georgetown is a must! The neighborhoods give you a Savannah, Georgia feel and the food is divine!
