Do you believe things happen for a reason? Or maybe that coincidences just happen a lot? Honestly, I don’t know. What I do know is that Tara trusted me to choose a location for her maternity session and little did I know that they grew up in the Midwest…on a farm…and met there. The golden fields were just a little too perfect, and the sign about horses was completely happenstance. I saw it, laughed, and she insisted we get photographs with it. You KNOW I’m always down for a little humor amidst the love. That’s life.
We chose Middletown because it’s close to my mother’s house and I know the area pretty well. Tara expressed her vision of a red barn, and I knew who to call. A family friend let us romp around their yard and shouted from the window her hellos, as we wandered around and in the barn, having seen better paint days, but a place of many memories and adventures…used to play here as a kid! (this particular farm has a GORGEOUS airbnb, which will be listed soon!)
We headed off to Remsburg Park next, just as the golden light was setting on us. We acknowledged the importance of communication and trust when getting your photos taken, and that if strangers can let down their guard for one another, beautiful photos are created. I’m so grateful to have met them!
Tara and her husband just welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world, and I am so incredibly excited for them. Below are some of my favorite photos from our session! Interested in scheduling your own? Check out my contact & inquiries page and hit me up! Lots of sunsets wait 🙂
